FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
I help GenZ and millennials navigate life transitions while avoiding serious mental illness to live a more fulfilled life. Young adulthood is comprised of, on average, 7 major life transitions such as major moves, beginning careers, starting a family, and navigating evolving or loss of friendships, to name a few. These life transitions have the potential to become stressful and agitate or create mental illness. However, with the support of a licensed professional, you can mitigate and cope with these changes to support your mental wellbeing.
As a therapist, I’ve learned to utilize evidence based practices and make it applicable to those current stressors to help individuals embrace the changes, live in the moment, while being intentional about the future to feel more secure in self.
Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of THEE Jackson State University with a Masters of Social Work degree and a Bachelors in Psychology from Millsaps College. I have accumulated 5 years of experience working in Residential Treatment Centers, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Telehealth Services providing individual and group therapy to adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, mood disorders, and trauma. In my years of experience, I noticed a trend in which adolescents becoming young adults and young adults alike appeared to struggle with similar underlying conflicts that were contributing to their distress which is what led to me starting CoreWellness, LLC in hopes of bridging the gap.
